Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Rumored To Come In 2 Variants With Samsung Galaxy Note 7’s Dual Edge Screen

The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 might come with two variants to it. This is the latest rumor about the coming device for Xiaomi. The two variants are said to cater to two different markets, with one being the high-end one and the other a lower version of the said device.

The higher-end model of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 would also be interesting in that it will have a 6 GB RAM. Most manufacturers so far have stopped at 4GB RAM for the smart phones and devices, but if the rumor is true then Xiaomi would be the first to come out with a 6 GB RAM device.

According to the International Business Times this version of the Mi Note 2 has been posted on Weibo, China's version of Twitter. However it is not yet certain if the post can officially be confirmed. Though Xiaomi has come out with two different versions of its devices before, what is not certain are the specs posted on Weibo.

According to the Weibo post the higher-end Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will have the Snapdragon 821 as its processor. It will have 128GB internal storage as well as the alleged 6GB RAM. The lower version of the Mi Note 2 will be more standard as it will have a 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM and the Snapdragon 820 as its processor.

One feature it might also have is an edged screen such as the one seen in the Galaxy Note 7. This has been said to be revealed by the same Weibo tipster as well, though it is still not certain whether that feature would actually be shown in the final product.

It is not certain when the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will come out. Phone Arena notes that there are two dates being given. One date comes from the Weibo post and says that it will come out on September 14. However another source says it might be on September 24. This other source is said to be a poster that seems to look official. It is not clear if it is so however. Phone Arena also says that September 24 would be a Saturday, which would make a release on that day quite unusual.

The speculated price of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is about 2999 Yuan, or that would make it about $450. Other features speculated are a 16MP rear camera, USB Type-C port and a 4,000mAh battery.

There are more tech news, as iTechPost reports that Sony might also come out with a gold-plated Walkman.
