Even though Sony hasn't confirmed it yet, fans are speculating that it is Bokeem Woodbine through a call sheet that has previously leaked the film's casting.

Who is Shocker?

Shocker, also known as Herman Schultz, is a fictional supervillain which first appeared in the "The Amazing Spider-Man" #46 comic in March 1967 created by Stan Lee and John Romita Sr. in 1967.

His character is a high school drop-out who is a brilliant engineer and inventor. But instead of using his brain for good, he resorted to evil and became a burglar who is best at safecracking. After he was caught and put to prison, he developed gauntlets that emits high-frequency air blasts and used it to escape.

In their first confrontation, Shocker defeats Spider-Man (who was wounded at that time) while robbing a bank. He becomes a master thief and later stole important items including an ancient stone tablet which is said to be able to restore youth. He also tried to take control of the whole New York City and extort a large amount of money by creating a massive black-out and spelling his name using streetlights.
