2016 MacBook Pro vs. Microsoft Surface Book 2: Price, Specs And Feature Comparison

Microsoft's line of notebooks have been very well received as of late. Meanwhile, the lack of updates from Apple has been two fold - while it has kept users guessing about when the upgrade will be made and what it will bring, others have gotten bored of waiting. Fortunately, Apple's September 7 event is sure to answer a few questions. Just the same, Microsoft's next iteration, the Surface Book 2, is arriving to the market soon as well.

Rumors: The 2016 MacBook Pro

As MacWorld notes, it has been over a year since the MacBook got itself a facelift. But this year, the device is expected to get an all new look and much better specs.

Firstly, the 2016 MacBook Pro is expected to arrive with MacOS Sierra, which in itself will give the upcoming hardware plenty of new features - like bringing Apple's virtual assistant, Siri, to the gadget.

When it comes to hardware, however the 2016 MacBook Pro is expected to arrive thinner and lighter than the existing MacBook Air. Furthermore, it is speculated that the device will come without the standard 3.5mm audio jack.

The device is also expected to come with an OLED touchbar, Touch ID, Thunderbolt 3 and a USB Type C port.

However, the publication notes that it is possible that Apple use the September 7 event exclusively for the iPhone 7 and that the 2016 MacBook reveal will happen sometime in October this year.

Rumors: The Surface Book 2

Meanwhile, Vine Report mentions that the upcoming Surface Book 2 will come powered by the new Intel Kaby Lake processor, making the device capable of 4K videos, boasting a 3840 x 2160 pixel resolution.

Furthermore, the detachable keyboard feature is supposed to be improved on from the Surface Book 2's predecessor. It expected to come in dark shades - either black or a midnight blue.
