It seems like DC villain Gentleman Ghost will appear in the CW series "The Flash" on the upcoming season 3.
That was what the series director, Kevin Smith joked about in twitter. While it is true that "The Flash" season 3 will have a new main villain, it would definitely not be the spirit of a 19th century gentleman thief.
After the teaser trailer was shown at Comic-Con, it seems to have confirmed that they will be dealing with the effects of "Flashpoint." If it was going to be based on the comic book were it was originally from, Barry (Grant Gustin) will lose his memory and will ultimately lead to losing his powers too.
In a report about Barry's memory loss, Gustin explained, "Barry is the only one that knows the timeline is different, and his memories are starting to get replaced from the previous timeline with new memories," he was further quoted saying, "When he realizes those memories are replacing other memories, that's when he starts to realize how selfish of a decision this was and that maybe he should try to put things back the way they were."
Some fans have theorized that Barry will actually be overwhelmed with the strengths of his power that it will eventually cloud his judgment. Could it mean that he can be the next villain too?
Speaking of villains, the trailer shows a glimpse of what seems to be a new bad guy in the series-- Dr. Alchemy. Other villains were announced to be part of "The Flash" season 3 such as the comeback of Gorilla Grodd, Mirror Master, and Savitar.
The new story arc of "The Flash" is said to impress fans. With all the incoming villains and "Flashpoint" factored in, it is exciting to see what will happen.
Fans need not to wait long as "The Flash" season 3 is set to air October 4 2016.
