"Pokemon Go" error message has been spotted recently and gamers have encountered the new message that reads "The device, OS, or software is not compatible with Pokemon Go." Discussions have been made online to address this issue which happens after updating "Pokemon Go" to the latest version.
Some things are seen as triggers to this "Pokemon Go" error like problem phones on Android and iOS, a custom ROM, and some other phones that is also unsupported by the update. The error message was depicted on a jailbroken phone on iOS or a rooted phone on Android even when the root is disabled, and the phone is equipped with CyanogenMod.
"Pokemon Go" users tried to fix the issue suggesting that the open-source operating system be uninstalled, then the update begins to work. This also appears on PCs with a custom ROM, which users are suggested to delete to get rid of the error message on the "Pokemon Go" game after the update. The OnePlus 3 phone was also spotted having such concerns.
Reddit users have suggested was to download the update from APKMirror, unrooting the phone or using a program like Magisk to toggle off the root. If all else fails, users may opt to remain with the "Pokemon Go" version that is used without upgrading. However, this is only a temporary fix. It typically takes about two weets for the user to be locked out of the game if it does not get updated, which may be the final option.
"Pokemon Go" users may also get a refund from Google if it had been purchased within the last 30 days. A request for refund may be found in this link. Other trainers have suggested to be patient with finding the fix that will be suitable for the user like tsProtector8 for iOS or RootCloakPlus for the Android phones, Masterball from Cokepokes, a PokePatch, which may eventually solve the error.
Game developers are expected to look into the error message and possibly a new update or patch will surface that will fix the error message. Watch "Pokemon Go" GPS error fix here:
