Chloe Moretz is reported to have pulled out of the Grimm brother's adaptation of the "Little Mermaid" and may have dropped all her projects altogether.
Fans might remember that the young actress happily announced her involvement with the production of "Little Mermaid." So it was quite a shock when the 19-year-old broke the news at the Deauville American Film Festival. According to the Hollywood reporter, Moretz was quoted saying, "So I pulled the plug on all my movies because I want to reassess who I am and find myself within my roles again," she said. "I'm realizing that I can slow down."
The actress has been pretty busy as of late. She just finished the production of two films, one is a thriller called "November Criminals" and the other is a drama called "Brain on Fire." She mentioned that she had a "come to Jesus" epiphany which caused her to stop all her acting gigs.
This might come as a head scratcher for those who have been following Moretz' career. She is one of the most popular actresses of today and is at the prime of her career. At 19 years old she already has more than 50 films in her acting resume. After starring as "Hit Girl" in the 2010 blockbuster "Kick-Ass", Chloe Moretz's career just skyrocketed with big roles in movies like "Hugo", "If I Stay", and "Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising."
It remains to be seen as to whether this is just a temporary pause or the actress has really retired. Guesses as to what caused her to take a break are; focusing on two new television shows and going with Hillary Clinton on the campaign trail.
"Little Mermaid" is said to be a modern undertaking of the original Fairy Tale. Chloe Moretz track record shows that she would have been a great addition to the movie, so hopefully, she changes her mind about all of this.
