Following the surprising death of “Wentworth’s” main character Bea Smith is the end of her romance with Allie Novak (Ballie). Not only do fans of the popular drama series yearn for Bea’s return but their onscreen chemistry as well.
Danielle Cormack is still keeping her silence amid the noise she left when she departed the show.
In a prior article of iTech Post, it was reported that showrunner Jo Porter affirmed the difficult end for Bea’s role in “Wentworth.”
Recently, Cormack posted a Snapchat video of her and Kate Jenkinson goofing around. The short clip is displayed on her Instagram account and captioned as “BAE and me discussing seahorses.”
While there are no teasing hashtags of their “Ballie” reunion in the hit show, fans are quick to conclude that the said video is a teaser of the duo’s reappearance in the upcoming season.
Meanwhile, in an interview with After Ellen, Jenkinson related her initial reaction on the demise of Bea Smith.
I think my reaction was very similar to that of the fans when I first found out. I was completely blindsided, and I thought, “Okay, how does this work? How does a show continue without the central character?”
The “Ballie” love team earned a huge fan base and Kate is but saddened with the series’ continuation without Bea around.
“It means I don’t get to work with Dan anymore, and that’s devastating. And who is Allie if not the love of Bea’s life? So there were so many questions, but the more I thought about it and the more I spoke to Danielle about it—who is incredibly philosophical and understood the long game a lot better than I did—I began to change my opinion about whether it was a good idea or not. And I think while it’s still devastating and I’m certainly always going to miss Dan’s presence on set, I feel like it’s a very very bold move for any show to make," Kate explained.
