Once again, the Samsung Galaxy A8 2016 has been spotted on a benchmarking site. For the past months, a number of rumors and spotted leaks have surfaced about the Galaxy A8 2016.
However, Samsung seems keen on holding back any announcement for the phone. It could be because the company hasn't decided on the Galaxy A8's release date yet, or the company is still affected by the infamous Note 7 controversy.
Regardless of the reason, it looks like the Galaxy A8 2016 is no longer a rumor.
Samsung Galaxy A8 2016 Rumors
Using GSMarena's statement, Samsung should really start making the Galaxy A8 2016 official. Leaks about the device have been unstoppable. Aside from its renders and FCC certification, the Samsung Galaxy A8 has also been seen in GFXBench and Geekbench. Now, the new device from Samsung has been spotted at AnTuTu as well.
Samsung Galaxy A8 2016 Specs
According to multiple benchmarking sites and rumor blogs, the Galaxy A8 specs include a 5.7-inch screen and 3 GB RAM. There are also talks about a model with 32 GB storage and a model with 64 GB storage. The phone is also very likely to come with a microSD slot, which may already be expected, but the leaked specs still had it confirmed.
For the cameras, different Galaxy A8 2016 news may have been a bit contradicting each other. The AnTuTu benchmark said that the device will have an 8 MP and a 5 MP camera combo, but previous rumors believe that the device should at least follow its predecessor's camera specs. Samsung's previous release had a 16 MP rear camera, so the new leak confused with the fans' expectations.
Nevertheless, the Galaxy A8 is expected to come as an addition to Samsung's family of midrange smartphones. Indeed, when it comes to value phones, Samsung never disappoints. Hopefully, the company could announce this phone soon so that all of the A8 2016's specs can finally be confirmed.
