As "The Walking Dead" season 7 premiere is only a month away, spoilers have been making rounds on the internet, revealing answers to scenes left hanging in the past season.
Teasers of the upcoming season of "The Walking Dead" reveal that the mystery of the show will center on whom Negan might have killed at the end of season 6. From the comic book of "The Walking Dead," Glenn is Negan's victim, following the original story created by Robert Kirkman. However, spoilers have been making another twist on what to expect from the new season, putting Rick in action.
Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) revealed to "TWD" fans how his character makes a comeback in season 7 from the downfalls he experienced in season 6. It is said that Negan and Rick are in for a battle of will in the upcoming season.
As was seen, the season 6 of "The Walking Dead" concluded with Negan bringing death to Rick's team with Aaron, Abraham, Carl, Daryl, Eugene, Glenn, Maggie, Michonne, Rosita or Sasha, and Rick himself. However, season theories say Rick will survive Negan's death row.
More spoilers hint that Rick along with his whole group will be affected by Negan's killing.
"Knowing the fact that any death changes our characters and changes our people in a very dramatic way, what's exciting about season seven is how a death (any death) changes people and propels us in a different direction," producer Greg Nicotero said.
Rick is also said to be taking more parts in the upcoming season. "As the season finished, the story was about Rick being broken, and realizing that basically everything that he thought has been turned upside down in the space pretty of much of a day. The world that he fought and strove for so long has irrevocably changed," Lincoln told EW.
Lincoln described his character to be a man who's powerless and terrified for his life and his son's family, which awakens him to come to his senses and see that there's a new world that they still have to deal with.
Meanwhile, Negan will be seen taking control and approaching the Alexandria Safe-Zone as seen in TWD season 7 trailers. The TWD comics has a clear description of how Rick and the rest of the group try to attack Negan but later fail. It describes how Rick slashes Negan's throat but almost dies. The comic book also delivers Negan surviving but up in jail.
The question on Rick getting back to his old self and finally defeating Negan will be addressed in the upcoming season 7 of "The Walking Dead." The new season will premiere on Oct. 23 at 9 p.m. on AMC.
