Tekken 7 Coming To eSports? Developers Talks About The Future

Professional gamers are already earning a great deal of money from eSports. Because of this, Tekken 7 is being considered to be integrated into eSports. Michael Murray of Bandai Namco was interviewed by Tekken Gamer. In this interview, he discussed in full detail the steps on how games are made for hardcore gamers.

Attack of the Fan Boy reported what Mr. Murray said during the interview. He mentioned that spectators of the Tekken Games may not feel the same excitement with those who are actually playing Tekken games. They want people who are just watching the game to also enjoy and get interested in the game. In this case, they are hoping that those who are just watching may also get to try the game. That is why they are improving Tekken Games' Critical Arts, dynamic camera work, and slow motion when trading blows, and other game mechanics. However, Murray have not addressed a lot of questions related to Tekken 7. The new games modes or DLC plans was not clarified, as well as the question about Kid Kazuya's playability was not mentioned.

According to VG247, the story mode was however revealed by boss Katsuhiro Harada and Mr. Murray during the Gamescom series. The battle will involve Heihachi and Kazaya as they take control of the Mishima Zaibatsu clan. There were new stages, costumes intended for story events, and flashbacks to recall the backstory. The story will also add new characters. Their idea is to allow players to experience the scenarios that made the ending sequences of Tekken 1's PS1 CG famous. Tekken 7 will not include the Street Fighter Akuma. The game will be released during the early parts of 2017.

Tekken 7 will be released for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Murray said that they have no plans to make the game available on Mac.
