‘Grimm’ Season 6 Spoilers: Petition Not To Cancel Got Plenty Of Attention; NBC Might Renew For Season 7

"Grimm" Season 6 will start airing on January 06, 2017. NBC has announced that it will be the last season for the beloved series.

It did not come as a surprise to most fans of the show that the series was cancelled. When it was earlier announced that the sixth season of "Grimm" was cut down to 13 episodes instead of the usual 22 episodes, a lot of fans took it as a hint that the series will soon come to an end.

Not all fans took the cancellation news lightly, Rebecca Hays from Wales, UK decided to start an online petition to have Netflix pick up the series after its sixth season. She said, "The majority of the fans feel, that the story cannot end yet, that there is so much more potential and that it would be a wasted opportunity."

She even remarked that a lot of fans feared that the end of "Grimm" was coming since NBC changed its schedule to the "infamous Friday night death slot" and that they are even lucky enough to get a season 6 after the change in time slot.

The petition that was started by Rebecca Hays has now managed to garner 6,457 supporters who would want Netflix to pick up "Grimm."

Meanwhile, another fan had set up a separate petition to have TNT pick up the show instead "because it is the best show in the universe" according to the creator.

"Grimm" season 6 is expected to have a darker Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) and will feature his showdown with Capt. Sean Renard (Sash Roiz).

NBC has not responded to any of the fans petitions yet nor has Netflix and TNT. The fans are hopeful that their efforts will not end in vain and that "Grimm" season 7 is going to be given the green light soon.
