Only three months have passed since the launch of the new iPad and rumors are again gaining momentum about the launching off yet another upgraded iPad.
DigiTimes has referred to Apple Daily, a Hong-Kong-based tabloid-style newspaper which has again cited market watchers as its source in claiming that the Cupertino, California based tech company is all set to unleash an upgraded version of 9.7-inch iPad in the summer.
According to the report, the new iPad will feature a "indium gallium zinc oxide (IGZO) panel technology to allow the device to feature an even thinner design and longer battery life."
According to Apple Daily, for the new iPad, Apple will change its panel supplier from Samsung to Sharp.
Earlier, DigiTimes claimed that Apple is manufacturing a 10-inch iPad for Q4 of 2012. Meanwhile, rumors are rife about a 7-inch Mini iPad for an August release.
While after launching a fresh iPad device in March, it is highly impractical to expect a launch of an upgraded iPad this summer, the rumors have undoubtedly stirred awake the tech world.
