Further Proof The Nintendo NX Will Be A Hybrid Device

Just six months away from its scheduled release, but the Nintendo NX is still leaving its anticipating public in the dark. For the most part, that is. And while the general gaming world is starting to accept that the next console will be a home console/handheld hybrid, there has been no confirmation from the company whatsoever. The next best thing has happened, however, and that is a confirmation from one of the console's game companies.

Tsunekazu Ishihara, President Of The Pokemon Company

"The NX is trying to change the concept of what it means to be a home console device or a handheld device," Ishihara said, as quoted by Ars Technica. "We will make games for the NX."

And while the confirmation itself is not coming from a Nintendo executive, or even a Nintendo employee, Ishihara should be in the know about how the Nintendo NX is going to shape up. After all, six months is not a long time to make a game compatible to such a special console and he did confirm that "Pokemon" is arriving with the upcoming device.

How The Nintendo NX Will Work As A Hybrid Console

As International Business Times UK adds, there are previous reports that have claimed full knowledge on the Nintendo NX. One such feature that was declared was its hybrid build, which is only getting stronger as the reveal inches closer and closer.

If Ishihara's confirmation is anything to go by, older guesses could prove true as well. This includes how the console will come with detachable controllers, which can be slotted into specific compartment. However, the entire console can be attached to a special docking station so that the device can work with a television set.

Cartridge Throwback

Another claim that could soon be proven as fact, is that the Nintendo NX will come fitted with a cartridge slot. It has been widely accepted that the new console will answer gamer's nostalgic whims by distributing games in cartridges.
