For the past few months, the battle of tablets between Microsoft and Apple has been entertaining to watch. For once, Apple's prized product seemed almost inferior to its competition. And Microsoft had a field day releasing its advertisements, which directly attacked features that the iPad lacked and the Surface Pro proudly carried. However, Microsoft's claims were true in the technical sense, which is why the public is excited about the upcoming Surface Pro 5.
Surface Pro 5: Release Date
According to Vine Report, there is a Windows 10 event brewing for October and Microsoft might use the opportunity to unveil the Surface Pro 5. However, it is likely that interested buyers will not be able to get their hands on the actual device until March of next year, because of the specs and features that are expected to arrive with the unit.
Surface Pro 5: Specs And Features
It seems that Microsoft is making no sacrifices in expense of the Surface Pro 5. The hybrid device, as reported by The Christian Times, is slated to sport only the highest-end specifications in the market. This includes a Windows 10 operating system and an Intel Kaby Lake processor. Because of the new processor, the device is also expected to improve on battery life over the current offering. Furthermore, it is expected to provide enhanced cooling technology and as much as a 40 percent improvement on performance.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is also expected to include a 4K display in 21 inch, 24 inch and 27 inch options. In addition, 16GB of RAM is expected to arrive in the device, as well as a 16 megapixel rear camera and 8 megapixel front camera.
However, the upgrades on the Surface Pro 5 are also expected to make it more expensive than the Surface Pro 4, which is currently priced at $1,300.
