The Nintendo NX is set to roll out on March 17 and it is expected to be a cross between a home console and a handheld device. While TPC announced the release of "Pokemon" games for the gaming console, they may have also vaguely hinted at what Nintendo NX will be. Other leaked reports claimed that the Nintendo NX will have parts for the home that can be taken off for gaming on the go.
Nintendo NX is set on changing the concept of what a home console or handheld device should be, Pokemon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara said in an interview with WSJ. This confirms the speculation that the gaming console will harmonize the two gaming platforms possibly into a hybrid of sorts.
It is rumored that Nintendo NX will have a dual screen made by Wii U with more controller functions. The gaming console is also rumored to have interchangeable parts. Ishihara also confirmed that The Pokemon Company will in fact produce games for the highly-anticipated gaming console. The device is also rumored to be similar to a handheld device with a TV component, while others claim that the opposite is true. Nintendo has already done a tablet-based console in the past which had not been received well.
Other titles that will be joining the slew of games for the Nintendo NX are "Mario" and "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild". Speaking of the latter, a recent leak for both the game and the gaming console came from amiibo figurines.
A posting on the official page of Nintendo in Europe in the amiibo section showed the figures and announced its arrival on March 2017. Hence, the speculation that "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" will be released in the third quarter of 2017 and possibly with the upcoming Nintendo console as well.
The Nintendo NX is said to operate like the old Razer Edge tablet, having hardware controls with a TV link at home, which can be detached while out and about, EnGadget reported. The report was based on Eurogamer sources claiming the device will have detachable controllers and a TV base station, like a standalone Wii U gamepad. Nintendo is yet to confirm these rumors.
