Resident Evil 6 – Health Regeneration System Is A Bad Idea

“Resident Evil 6” fans, the ones who are old-school, have some bad news heading their way. Capcom has decided to use a regenerating health system. Can you imagine a health regeneration system in a horror game?

In reality, “Resident Evil 6” is not as horror centric as its predecessors, but this is the first time that such a health system has been introduced in a “Resident Evil” game.

This health regeneration system was revealed via the game’s Xbox 360 demo that was released only previously. However, it is disappointing and surprising that not many noticed this new alteration all this while.

And this is how it works – player has a number of boxes for health and every hit goes on to damage those boxes. This means that the player will either have to be careful or find a corner to regenerate the box. Nonetheless, if a box gets completely damaged, the player will have to use a herb in order to reclaim it.

The new regeneration system is somewhat similar to every other third person action shooter currently available in the market. This also tells a lot about Capcom and how they are trying to introduce new things into the game by altering their roots. And this, practically, is not a good idea.
