'Power Rangers' Reboot Movie: To Feature Marvel’s Superhero Flair, Upgraded Suits And Flashy New Zords

With the filming of the movie adaptation of "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers" in full swing in Vancouver, viewers get teasers on what to look forward to in the movie comeback of their childhood superheroes. "Power Rangers" reboot may feature a touch of Marvel in its film adaptation and the Rangers who used to be attired in a spandex costume get updated costumes and futuristic Zords.

"Power Rangers" Movie Storyline

For any kid from the '90s, "Go! Go! Power Rangers" was a household name for superheroes after the Japanese live-action made its debut in television. The official synopsis of the movie follows the original theme of Saban's superhero series where five normal teenagers take it upon themselves to defend the world from an alien invasion. Armed with their powerful ranger suits and their humanoid companions, the Zords, they defend their hometown Angel Grove against the invaders.

Contrary to what some fans expected, Saban Entertainment's film won't follow a darker tone but would give a new zest to the classic superhero series. Among the writers collaborating on the screenplay include Zack Stentz and Ashley Miller who were involved in writing top-grossing flicks "X-Men: First Class" and "Thor." Their involvement, as mentioned in TV Cheat Sheet, could give "Power Rangers" a touch of Marvel's superhero antics.

Colorful Ranger Suits And Humanoid Zords

Other notable changes in the new "Power Rangers" movie include the upgraded suits and the new Dino Zords. The Rangers who used to be clad in colorful spandex suits are now attired in futuristic Iron Man-inspired costumes.

A preview of the Zords in the latest Power Rangers posters reveals that the Ranger companions will be upgraded versions of the dinosaur-inspired humanoids in the original series. These Zords combine to create the Rangers' ultimate weapon: the Megazord.

There's no preview on what the Megazord would look like but fans are hoping that they'll get a look at the ultimate Ranger weapon at the New York Comic-Con or at least before the "Power Rangers" movie hit the theaters on March 24, 2017.
