Battlefield 1 will hit the gaming world in less than a month while EA and DICE are constantly releasing several video footages highlighting the upcoming action game's new feature additional and improved gameplay. Previously, fans are getting a good glimpse at the multiplayer modes and maps while it was reported that the full details of the single player mode will finally be announced tomorrow. However, another recent change that will arrive on the franchise is the melee combat. Battlefield is known by its different style of hand-to-hand combat which is embraced warmly by the fans. With this upcoming Battlefield title, DICE is aiming to have the most special style of hand-to-hand combat of any game on the series.
According to Game Rant, after the title changes its time frame back into the First World War, DICE is motivated to emphasize the melee combat since the gun technology during this time is still fresh. Based on the report, DICE will be introducing tools such as bayonet, spiked club and more. As previously reported, the developer released three new melee classes with a variety of strengths and weaknesses. These new classes will be playable once Battlefield 1 releases.
Recently, a YouTuber named Westle tackles the different changes on the melee combat by analyzing them through a gameplay video. He ranks each melee classes and provides an in-depth analysis on each of these weapons. As Westle mentions that among all the classes, knife is the most common. It deals lesser damage however it is faster compared to the other melee weapons. Next is the club which is a little heavier and stronger than the knife. It is said to be the most balance weapon. Last but not the least are special weapons such as the shovel or pick axe. These weapons deals a high amount of damage but they tend to be much slower and have a lower take down zone than the other two.
Players really benefit a lot from the recently released beta version. They are able to partially explore the game firsthand and experience its changes and several feature additions.
Battlefield 1 will arrive this October 21 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
