'Supergirl' Season 2 Spoilers, Cast Updates: Latest Teaser Features Superman Collab, Gotham References; Supergirl Joins DC Hero Crossover

With just a few weeks before "Supergirl's" season 2 debuts, The CW released a new teaser on what fans can expect from the season premiere. The highly anticipated team-up between Superman and Supergirl takes center stage in the latest teaser. There are also references to Gotham City, Batman's home, which keeps fans on their toes for a possible Bruce Wayne appearance. Following the announcement of a DC hero crossover in The CW, it was confirmed that Supergirl will join the cast of three other shows in the network although it exists in another multiverse.

Man of Steel Comes To Town

"Supergirl" season 2 premiere, "The Adventures of Supergirl," will include the appearance of Kara Danvers' cousin "Superman". Starting out with a light and hilarious note, Danvers introduces her cousin to the CatCo office which stirs quite a reaction. Almost every person in the building was awed by the caped hero but not as much as Winn (Jeremy Jordan). This development has been causing rumors that Winn would be the DC TV show character to come out this season.

Superman played by Tyler Hoechlin will be in the first and second episodes of "Supergirl" season 2. It is still unknown whether he will continue teaming up with his cousin to save National City.

Supergirl DC Hero Crossover

Following its transfer from CBS to CW, "Supergirl" will be included in the DC Crossover. Unlike "Arrow," "Flash" and the "Legends of Tomorrow," "Supergirl" is set in a different multivers. However, DC confirmed that "Supergirl" would be part of the epic crossover.

There are also reports that there will be a musical crossover between "Supergirl" and "The Flash" whose titular character is portrayed by "Glee" actor Grant Gustin. Supergirl would also be part of the epic three-hour DC Crossover which would be released in November.

"Supergirl" will make its comeback in primetime for its second season on Monday, Oct. 10.
