Beloved TV series "Supernatural" has been around for more than a decade and was able to maintain a significant number of viewers. However, everything must come to an end and critics are speculating that "Supernatural" will end face it soon.
Rumor has it that "Supernatural" season 12 will have a different storyline and that the synopsis is currently in tangles. This has prompted fans to assume that season 12 will be a spinoff instead.
But to put all these speculations to rest, CW president Mark Pedowitz said during an interview with Variety that as long as the ratings stay stable and that the actors still want to do the show, he will be their biggest supporter in continuing with it.
Mark Pedowitz explained further, "I think 'Supernatural' is going to be around in some form long after I move off this chair, and the best thing I can do for the guys, and for the studio, and for the showrunners is basically make sure we don't mess them up."
And with that statement, fans can rest assured that "Supernatural" season 12 is going to happen. Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki are surely in it for the long run. "Jared and I talked and we're going to just keep going," Ackles said. "He and I, we talk about getting to episode 300 and that's just another milestone... and then when we get there, we'll keep going and see what the next milestone is."
However, no assurances yet have been said regarding the future of the show after the upcoming season.
Recently, a trailer for "Supernatural" season 12 was released, so that ends the speculation that a spin-off will be shown instead. The trailer shows the resurrection of Dean and Sam's long dead mother and will surely make the fans want to find out more about the series.
For the viewers and fans of the show, "Supernatural" season 12 is set to premiere on October 13, 2016.
