Marvel's 'Luke Cage' On Netflix A Must-See; Series Tackles About Power And Heroism In The Modern Day

Netflix is set to premiere Marvel's "Luke Cage" soon and it has been considered as one of the must-watch series in television today; tackling the entirety of heroism and power.

As seen in the trailer, Luke Cage is a black man that is bullet proof, a concept that has been a big deal to the viewers. He then becomes a hero in the city since he is literally indestructible. The series talks about power and how much of it a person can have and when it becomes too much.

Luke Cage Is The New Indestructible Black Hero In Harlem City

Luke Cage made his first appearance in the Netflix series, "Jessica Jones" and now he is getting his own. Cage is portrayed by actor Mike Colter who washes dishes at a nightclub called Harlem's Paradise owned by a drug lord.

He was created in the 1970s by white men in response to the Blaxploitation, being set up as a heron in the making who only worked for those who could pay him. However, as time goes by, he becomes more noble about his abilities and chooses to fight with the good side as he grows older, making him a modern black hero.

"Luke Cage" To Tackle Complexity Of Heroism In The Marvel Universe

He is even considered as Harlem's Captain America, as one character would place it as the series starts. He also struggles internally about being a black hero. Colter's performance as Cage has been praised by the critics, being the indestructible black man who easily throws big guys around and takes bullets like a pinch in his skin.

"Luke Cage" has been described as a Marvel enterprise that continues to explore the complex dynamic of heroism while being able to stand out against all the other shows. This series is set to feature the culture of the black people, making a statement about their beings and the kind of power they could strive for in the country.

According to some critics, "Luke Cage" has been deemed as the greatest collaboration done by Marvel and Netflix to date. The series is set to premiere on September 30.
