'Arrow' Season 5 News And Updates: Stephen Amell Teases Photo On Twitter; Green Arrow To Meet Supergirl?

Crossovers between "Arrow" and "The Flash" have already been very common in the past seasons but for the first time since it aired, it teased that "Arrow" will have a crossover with "Supergirl" in the former's upcoming season five.

Crossovers With "Arrow," "The Flash," "Legends Of Tomorrow," And "Supergirl"

It can be recalled that Barry Allen/The Flash made his debut on the CW series "Arrow," which served as an episode prior to the event of the pilot of "The Flash." Over the course of the series, characters of "Arrow" and "The Flash" make special appearances on both shows. "The Flash" also made a crossover episode with another CW superhero series, "Supergirl" during the latter's first season.

When Barry Allen ran so fast, he entered an entirely different dimension which consists of Supergirl through no fault of his own. Now, Stephen Amell, protagonist of the series "Arrow" teased on his Twitter account an encounter between his character as the Green Arrow and Supergirl.

It has been reported that the crossover will happen in a three-night episode, thus the role of each superhero has not yet been confirmed. However, the crossover will also consist of "The Flash" and "Legends of Tomorrow" which will definitely excite all the fans to see all their favourite characters together.

"Arrow" Season 5 To Reach Its 100th Episode; To Return And Meet New Characters

The fans are excited to see Oliver Queen cross paths with Kara, given that they are the entire opposites of each other and they might be able to learn something from one another as well. Other than meeting Kara/Supergirl, "Arrow" is already getting close to its 100th episode and there have been reports that some of the characters will come back in celebration of that.

There is a lot to remember about the past four seasons of "Arrow" that will help in connecting the events that will transpire in the upcoming season five. When Laurel (Katie Cassidy) died in the previous season, she made Oliver promise something that will reportedly be essential later on the series. John and Thea left Oliver in his vigilante team, forcing him to find new members to train since the only one left now is Felicity.

There is still a lot more in store for the upcoming season five of "Arrow," including the big crossovers and its 100th episode. The series returns to CW on October 5, 2016.
