If you're ever traveling on a train in the U.S. and Canada, it's possible that you can use Apple Maps to get details on your route. iOS and macOS users can now navigate the entire American railway, with a few stops included in Canada.
Last year's iOS 9 update brought Apple Maps to include train routes for Amtrak in the Northeastern United States, MacRumors notes. This year, with iOS 10 rolled out, Apple Maps now includes routes in the Midwest, Northwest, South and Western regions of the country as well. The Canadian cities or Montreal and Vancouver are also included.
Apple Maps was launched in 2012, which discontinued its use of Google Maps for Apple products. Reports of inaccuracies and errors plagued the app during the launch for which CEO Tim Cook issued an apology, according to The Verge. Apple has since promised to make improvements.
