Sony's PlayStation VR only has a week to go before its release on October 13, 2016 and be available on all global stores. According to a Facebook advert, and was noted on a Reddit post, the Virtual Reality console might have bagged Resident Evil 7 as a significant timed exclusive deal.
No Official Announcement Has Been Made
The advert has been circling social media.
The post in promotion of the new Resident Evil 7 and PlayStation VR says that Resident Evil 7 Biohazars will be excusive to the PlayStation VR for 12 months. This means that the Beggining Hour Demo or "Twilight" Demo, the only part of the game that will be VR-compatible, is the only thing that the exclusivity could apply to. Players can still play the Resident Evil 7 Biohazard "vanilla" game on Xbox One and PC. However, no official announcement has been made by Capcom or the official Resident Evil 7 twitter account of whether this exclusivity is true or not.
According to IGN, a timed exclusive deal with Resident Evil 7 Biohazard by the PlayStation Virtual Reality headset, would "beef up the headset's lineup at a time where competition between its rival is fierce." This means sales for the new PlayStation VR could go up if they could bag a game like Resident Evil 7 Biohazard, then they could potentially get more amazing VR exclusive deals.
Can't Wait To Play Resident Evil 7
Resident Evil 7 Biohazard is set tobe released on January 24, 2017 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. If you're willing to pay $89.99, a deluxe version of the game by Capcom will be available with the game and a season pass for the DLC with three extra chapters of story. It's still not clear however what the DLCs will provide.
Batman: Arkham VR IS PSVR Exclusive Too?
Another game is said to be PlayStation VR exclusive too. Batman: Arkham VR launches with PVR on October 13 and will remain exclusive for 6 months until March 31, 2017. Batman: Arkham VR is roughly 8GB in download size.
