Royal Couple William and Kate: Tour Visit In Canada Captured On A Spooky Home Video

It was a very nice idea in theory: Kensington Palace releasing a social media video to mark the end of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's successful eight-day tour of Canada.

The resulting video, though, has been likened to a horror movie. Everyone reacted and compared the video with "Memoriam" video. Twitter followers concluded because of the slow moving clip added with a weird mourning music background and voila, you have an instant creepy clip. However, the actual occasion was held in bright, sunny fall weather, but for some angle the entire video is presented in an upsetting shade of grey.

"We have created such happy memories for our children during this visit," tweeted the official Kensington Palace account - but the concurring video seems anything but happy.

"George started to perk up after getting his hands on a water gun - and proceeded to squirt his little sister with water!" was how Hello! magazine described the most controversial turn of the engagement.

Dimly-lit (it might be the set-up), shot in slow-motion (to capture the presence of each and every one participating on that event) and with a gloomy, disturbing music background, the clip seems more like an in Memoriam video than a celebration of a family holiday. Take a look:

During their eight-day Canadian tour, the royal couple visited Vancouver's most needy neighborhood, co-operated in aboriginal ceremonies in Haida Gwaii, British Columbia, and met residents of the small community of Carcross, Yukon.

Prince George, three, and Princess Charlotte, 16 months, made two public appearances during the tour.

William spoke about the breakthrough eight-day visit - their first official out of the country trip as a family of four - saying they felt "very lucky" to have introduced Prince George and Princess Charlotte to the Commonwealth country which will play a big role in their lives.
