Want to know if ReCore will be worth it? You can try Microsoft's free trial now in Xbox One and PC. The free trial consists of 30 minutes of gameplay and your progress actually carries over when you decide to buy the game afterwards.
New Updates
The game recieved a lot of positive feedback from the fans and Microsoft recently thanked them in an Xbox Wire post. They said, "We're excited to let you know that, starting today, anyone who hasn't yet had the opportunity to play ReCore can now experience their first 30 minutes of the game in a free trial version on both Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs. Players will meet Joule, her Corebot companion Mack, and begin their adventure in the beautiful and mysterious world of Far Eden. If you decide to buy the full game afterwards, you can pick up right where you left off, as your progress (and Achievements) in the trial will be reflected in the full game."
Microsoft will also be releasing a new patch that will feature several significant updates on the game. The new update consists of a decresed loading time, audio visual improvement, and changes to waypoints, collision locations, checkpoints, and respawn points.
ReCore Is A Challenging Game To Market
Part of the reason why ReCore is priced $40 instead of $60 - an amazing bargain indeed - is because it's a new unproven IP. Aaron Greenberg from Microsoft talked about the challenging nature of releasing ReCore, he said that the "low price reflects the fact that ReCore is a brand new franchise" and it still needs to prove itself to the gaming community - adding that "ReCore still needs the gamers' votes." Despite the fact that it came from a big-name developer, with so much competition, ReCore needs a way to stand out, hence the budget price.
GameSpot said that ReCore may have benefited from increased exposure and the fact that this is Microsoft's first Xbox Play Anywhere title, which means you can play one digital copy in both the Xbox One and the PC.
