Originally scheduled for October 27, Apple has just announced that its quarterly earnings call will now be on October 25. This relatively last minute change is almost unheard of in companies as large as Apple, so it begs to differ why the company has chosen to do so. It is highly suspected that this move is because the company has opted to unveil the MacBook Pro 2016 on October 27.
Has Apple Done This Before?
As 9to5Mac notes, Apple has suddenly moved its quarter earnings call before. And like what is suspected now, it was for good reason then. Previously, the Cupertino-based company moved the meeting so that its executives could attend the memorial of Bill Campbell, a veteran board-member.
The publication then goes on to argue that the meeting was moved two days earlier in order to make room for a keynote. This keynote is likewise suspected to announce the revamped 2016 MacBook Pro.
Why The Complication?
Moving a quarterly earnings call for a company as massive as Apple is no small feat. And while the release of a greatly anticipated product is big news, there is still the question of why Apple did not simply schedule the release on October 25.
MacWorld adds that Apple's iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus sales are not as good as was originally expected. Therefore, the company has opted to give the limelight to the MacBook pro 2016, before having to unleash its rather disappointing numbers.
Are There Better Specs And Features Coming Along?
The MacBook Pro 2016 is expected to sport a stunning 2304x1440 resolution screen, which is powered by the new Skylake Processors. The new Skylake Processors from Intel will provide better battery life to the device as well.
It also suspected that either AMD or Nvidia will be providing their latest graphic cards to the 2016 MacBook Pro.
Earlier this year, Apple reportedly filed a patent that indicated a MacBook with cellular capabilities. Of course, a patent is not to be taken as confirmation, but it does open a possibility. Therefore, users can soon see the MacBook Pro 2016 integrated with a cellular connection.
Another feature that is expected is the Apple Pencil, which could be compatible with the trackpad.
