Amidst the hot court trial between the world's two best electronics companies, Samsung and Apple, a latest court document has revealed that the Korean electronics giant is prepping up a huge 11.8-inch tablet with display that comes with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels.
Codenamed as P10, the Samsung device will have Retina-like display with a pixel density of 256 ppi.
The BGR first broke the news in December, 2011. Since then, expectations were high to see the device at this year's major events like CES and Mobile World Congress. But Samsung disappointed its fans by not unveiling the product until now. The court documents, however, pointed that the new tablet is indeed a 2012 product. So we might expect to see P10 on August 15 as some earlier reports claimed that Samsung might announce the U.S. debut of Galaxy Note 10.1 or launch Galaxy Note 2.
According to last year's BGR report, the latest Samsung tablet, apart from the whopping 2560 x 1600 resolution and 11.6-inch screen size, will have 16:10 display aspect ratio along with a dual-core Exynos 5250 CPU clocked at 2GHz with Cortex A15 chip.
Meanwhile, the trial between Apple and Samsung continues in the U.S. where a UK judge ruled in favor of Samsung. Apple had been asked to post a statement on its UK website and in the press stating that Samsung has not infringed upon Apple's patent for its Galaxy Tab range.
