Ting, the mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), has gathered a lot of attention in past few days for offering unique mix-and-match approach to contract-free plans. Now the operator is offering Samsung's latest flagship smartphone Galaxy S3 with its network partner Sprint. With this offering, Ting becomes the first virtual carrier in the U.S. to carry Galaxy S3.
"It's a killer device," said Scott Allan, Director of Ting. "We have a lot of potential customers who have been waiting for this. They won't have to wait much longer."
The company has announced to start shipping the Samsung handset within next three to six weeks.
The Ting version of the GS3 is identical to the Sprint model, but the good news is that Ting Galaxy S3 will cost $20 less than the Sprint version. The virtual network provider will provide four different versions of the Samsung Galaxy S3. The "Pebble Blue" and "Marble White" 16GB Galaxy S3 will be available at $529 while the 32GB of either of the model will cost $579.
In addition, Ting will be offering an incentive to pre-order soon. The company will give away the S3 device free to two of the first 200 people who pre-order.
Ting is the MVNO of Tucows Inc., a global provider of domain names and other Internet services.
