'Stranger Things’ Season 2 Spoilers, Cast News & Updates: Stars Confirm 'Insane' New Season; Love Triangle Revealed

The "Stranger Things" cast members who were present at the 2016 New York Comic Con on Friday teased some details of their script which hinted at a budding young romance in upcoming "Stranger Things" season 2. To make it more "insane," there will even be a love triangle.

Young stars David Harbor (Chief Hopper) and Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven) who attended the ongoing NYCC confirmed a "next level of crazy" season 2 which producer Shawn Levy previously described. They revealed parts of the story of the highly anticipated "Stranger Things" season 2 which are basically based on the scripts each of them received.

"We did get the first couple scripts and it's insane," Harbor shared.

A number of spoilers said that the second season will feature four major storylines and one of the most intriguing plots was teased by Harbor, who described it as "one of the great love triangles of the series". Going back to the events of the first season, Nancy and Steve ended the season being more comfortable with each other and apparently having built a deeper relationship. Season 1 displayed the character of Jonathan as a very reserved teen, thus the upcoming season may indeed lead to interesting story twists.

Harbor further revealed that Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) might just make his move that will start a love triangle between him, Nancy (Natalie Dyer) and Steve (Joe Keery).

"Even when I was watching I felt torn," he said, referring to the love triangle. "They both were so three dimensional. There will be more of that for seasons to come."

Meanwhile, Brown, who plays the character Eleven, also expressed her thoughts about the turn of the story. She said she's "okay" with the Nancy-Steve team up more than the idea of Nancy-Jonathan relationship. She also teased a few details about Eleven who she said won't stop loving Eggo waffles in the second season.

"I do not like how many I eat. The amount I eat is actually really hard to digest," the young actress shared.

The two stars also confirmed that Barbara won't return in "Stranger Things" season 2. In the previous season, the character went missing at Steve's house during a pool party. Fans would also remember that Barbara was last seen dead in the Upside Down. However, the second season will seek justice for the character's death and the show will honor her, according to Brown and Harbor.

"Stranger Things" Season 2 will premiere in 2017 on Netflix.
