Would you like a chef right in the comfort of your home? How about a robot that knows your taste? Well, you might just have your own robot chef to make meal time a breeze. The world's first robotic kitchen will be out in the market on 2017.
Featuring an advanced, fully functional robot (robotic arms) integrated in a professionally designed kitchen (oven, hob and touchscreen unit), Moley's first robotic kitchen with the skill of a master chef will be launched in 2017. The cooking skill of Master Chef Tim is integrated into the system. His motion is recorded and his exact movements are replayed through the robotic hands.
This robotic machine can make over 2,000 meals. The program is supported by an iTunes' style library of recipes. Recipes are collected from around the world. Not only that, the system will eventually be accessed from anywhere remotely which means the robotic kitchen can prepare the delicious meal while the person is driving home.
The robotic kitchen doesn't work like a machine like any other robots because of the exact human motion integrated into the system. This unique feature has caught the attention of many industries such as airlines, kitchen developers, chef training schools and housing developers.
"An on-going discussion with a group managing $20b in housing assets and new builds," said The Moley Robotic Kitchen. "The Robotic kitchen allows developers to differentiate their stock, creating premium stock that can sell at a higher price. New buyers can also choose to incorporate the unit as an option in the specification stage," the company said.
With the advancement in technology, the questions begin to rise. What is the level of accuracy and safety on the meals prepared by this robotic chef? Will the robotic kitchen change the lives of many? How will it affect the profession of human chefs in the long run?
