Gamers For Good: Promoting Mental Health Awareness By Introducing an Award Winning Indie Game 'Undertale'

Mental disorder continues to be misinterpreted in the area of health, and unfortunately, some people don't get the assistance and counseling they need to be happier and healthier human beings because of that.

Gamers for Good and Undertale creator Toby Fox are expecting to change that with a special charity event, and you can help make it prosper. Until October 16, fans can propose their own creations, including drawings, 3D images, cosplays, or even music to be involved with "Undertale Charity Fan art book project." The proceeds from the book sales will go to three graces: Anxiety Gaming, Take This, and Child's Play.

Over 600 fan submissions have already been provided about the project, and you can check one of them out in the video posted above. The final book will be funded through Kickstarter, with the related crusade begins on October 18.

  • Anxiety Gaming is a grassroots structure connecting directly with gamers and helping them find spaces both in and out of games. Out of game,Anxiety Gaminghelps connect gamers as a mental health care provider. Knowing we all love games,Anxiety Gaminghas taken it into the land we all love, and make safe space alliances within the games we are all playing. So you can enjoy the feeling of a community that gaming brings us, without fear of the sometimes unfavorable present.
  • Take This is working on endeavors that both make it better to work in games over their "Depression-Proof Studio Culture" efforts, and they also help in gaming become less stressful places to visit through their AFK Room program. Throughout these programsTake Thisis getting people talking about mental health issues and those efforts lessen the stigma attached to health and seeking mental care.
  • Child's Play who has started an initiative to place Game Centers in Domestic Violence Support Facilities. These Game Centers allow games to fill a role of support for traumatized youth. They offer support through distraction, entertainment, and interactions with others.

They are gathering submissions on the website at G4G-Undertale on Sunday October 16th. We presently have everything from Illustrations, 3-D renders, Cosplays, Crafts and Fan Cover songs. We even have an UnderTale themed INKtober going on. The Kickstarter movement for Gamers for Good Presents: UnderTale project will start Tuesday October 18th and run through November 16th.
