A lot of people have been questioning when the MacBook Pro will be arriving, or whether the MacBook Air is a dead concept. Well, here's a quick answer to all of your questions:
Alexander's projection
According to an estimated forecast by Rhoda Alexander, Director Tablet and Notebook PCs at IHS Market Technology, "Production started in the second calendar quarter on refreshes of the 13.3-inch and 15.4-inch MacBook Pro, and, the 13.3-inch MacBook Air." There is a very high possibility that the new products of the company will be released in October or at least by the last quarter of this year.
With this, one can expect that the MacBook Pro would indeed be a laptop that would have the needed power and looks to make it a marketable product. This will lead to Apple utilizing either the Intel Skylake processor or the newest Kaby Lake silicon. With that, Alexander restated that the Q2 production start may disregard the Kaby Lake.
Based on past speculations by analyst Daniel Matte at Canalys, it is possible for Apple to include an option for AMD's latest "Polaris" graphics processors.
Features of the new MacBooks
The newest addition to the MacBook Pro line will be a lot slimmer and will feature a flatter keyboard. Additionally, the "new MacBook Pros have a smaller footprint than current models and the casing has shallower curves around the edges," according to Alexander.
Added features of the new MacBook Pro
Again, under speculations, the most anticipated MacBook Pro will feature an OLED display and a dynamic set of function keys that presents a virtual representation of the standard keys based on the tasks that the user will be executing. Other speculated features are the addition of USB ports and Touch ID fingerprint identity sensors.
