Kristen Stewart, Alicia Cargile Split Rumors: 'Twilight' Actress 'Not Ashamed' Of Her Love Life; Goes All Out About Her Sexuality

Following reports that "Twilight" star Kristen Stewart and girlfriend Alicia Cargile have called it quits, the actress goes all out and sets the record straight about her dating and love life.

The "Personal Shopper" star recently graced the cover of "Elle" magazine's "Women In Hollywood" issue. In the interview, the notoriously private Stewart bares all and shares candidly about her love life.

"I'm not ashamed and I'm not confused," the 26-year-old actress told Elle. "Things have changed. And not just with me - we're really allowed to encourage this new acceptance to develop and be awesome."

It can be recalled that Stewart recently opened up about the status of her relationship with Cargile, saying, "Right now I'm just really in love with my girlfriend. We've broken up a couple of times and gotten back together, and this time, I was like, 'Finally, I can feel again.'" Stewart said in an interview with Elle UK. The "Cafe Society" actress also gushed about her girlfriend, something very unusual for the actress to do. "Look how cute she is," Stewart told NY Times in August. "I love her so much."

Fans of the actress would know very well that she is not the type to open up in public. That was proven true when she dated her "Twilight" co-star Robert Pattinson. In an interview last August, Stewart revealed that the excessive media attention surrounded their relationship was too much for her to handle.

"People wanted me and Rob to be together so badly that our relationship was made into a product," she said. "It wasn't real life anymore. And that was gross to me. It's not that I want to hide who I am or hide anything I'm doing in my life. It's that I don't want to become a part of a story for entertainment value."

However, things changed when she started going out with Cargile. Stewart claims that she's now more willing to talk about her relationship because of the positive acceptance it represents. "I would never talk about any of my relationships before, but once I started dating girls it seemed like there was an opportunity to represent something really positive," she explained. "I still want to protect my personal life, but I don't want to seem like I'm protecting the idea, so that does sort of feel like I owe something to people."

Despite all her positivity about their relationship, the couple remains to be bombarded by split rumors. Just recently, reports claim that Stewart and Cargile are over and that the actress already moved on with Cara Delevingne's ex-girlfriend, St. Vincent.

The two were spotted multiple times together, sparking rumors that there could be something special going on between them. However, these rumors remain to be unconfirmed as both camps haven't addressed any of it.
