Coalition, Gears of War 4 game developer had recently added an upgrade to the game. In the upgraded version, it is now easier to acquire credits; which is the currency used to buy booster cards that amplifies the user's skills and performance. The upgrade also includes increasing "match completion" bonus credits that is earned in Versus Multiplayer action and decreasing the costs of the Elite packsbringing it down from 4000 to 3500.
A blog post that was published less than 24 hours ago, stated the reason of why Coalition had made these changes to the Gears of War 4, and it is because of the data and feedbacks about their credits system that they had been monitoring ever since the release of the game. The blogpost also made it clear that match bonuses are going to be provided whether the player wins or loses. However, winning will give a higher XP and credit returns.
"This should provide a higher and more consistent Credit earn rate across our modes, with the levelling milestone drops of 500 Credits and Credit bounties also helping you on your road to your next pack, " Coalition stated in the blogpost.
"Our Player Progression team have been working hard to address this as quickly as possible in order to improve the experience of acquiring Gear Packs. As of now, a new server-side update to Credits is deployed in Gears of War 4."
An important note was also highlighted in the blogpost saying that there is currently a known bug in the game that they're still fixing; which might display that the player earned 0 credits after a match bonus; this should be disregarded because the user will still be able to see his true gain in his Credit Wallet in the main menu.
