Gone are the days of lousy big printers! BERG Cloud has introduced a tiny printer that can be cloud connected. Named Little Printers, the portable box-sized gadget was unveiled in Nov. 2011. The company has finally made it available for pre-order at an astonishing price of £200.
While it took almost eight months to make the new printers available since the announcement of the product, the company says it was working on "mirror finish on the plastic, folding steep and fixing radio interference bugs [...] designing characters [and] creating beautiful packaging."
The pint-sized printer connects wirelessly to the home Internet and prints anything that you require in your day-to-day life starting from offline news, games, and social media content.
The Berg Cloud Remote smartphone app helps to keep all your subscriptions and RSS organized. Based on your selection and time preference, the printer will automatically deliver the news headlines, Google to-do lists, and Instagram photos from the Cloud Remote. The smartphone app is optimized for iPhone, Android smartphones, and Windows Phone.
"Use your smartphone to set up subscriptions and Little Printer will gather them together to create a timely, beautiful mini-newspaper," say the makers of the device.
The company offers four different Little Printer faces - two male and two female. All four offer a friendly smile every time you get something printed from the device.
BERG Cloud is very optimistic about the Little Printers and, thus, has restricted initial pre-orders to 10 per customer. The company announced that it will begin a second round of printer roll outs, with unlimited buyouts, starting mid-October.
BERG says that the printers will be shipped to the customers within 60 days of placing the order.
