Pokemon GO fans have been complaining about a glitch in which their accounts' saved progress has gone missing. It happened following the release of the latest patch from Niantic. Fortunately, there's a fix to this issue, and yes, it's pretty simple. Check it out below!
In order for this fix to work, Pokemon GO players need to log out of their respective accounts first. After which, they can re-log using the same details and method they always do. From there, they just need to go straight to Map View and tap the Main Menu.
At the top right of the Pokemon GO game, go to settings. While in there, note the displayed details (email address and login method). These can be found in the Sing Out option, just below the About option. This will also confirm if players are currently logged using the original combination that they've been using since day one.
Once there, Pokemon GO players just need to tap Sign Out and select the Google login process to enter the game. They will be then redirected to the web browser so as to complete the entire process. A Google prompt to login will surface.
It's worth noting that Pokemon GO fans need to select the same email they used for creating their accounts. Otherwise, this method won't work. So it's best to double check if the email displayed in the top right side of the screen is correct. Lastly, tap the Allow button so as to be redirected back to the game.
In one way or another, the aforementioned steps fixes the Pokemon GO glitch. Players will notice that their saved progress is already available. This is simply resetting the login process (via Google, however) so the system will be able to load a player's data. The hunt for Pokemon continues!
As for iOS Pokemon GO users, the above mentioned method won't work. Here's an alternative method, though. First, delete the app/game from the device as well as the Google account info in Safari. Download and install the game back again. From there, log back using the same account. Viola, the glitch is removed.
