3 New Features And Items That Should Be In Pokemon Go Shops

Pokemon Go indeed is a success. Everyone I know coming from different walks of life are playing it. The mobile app also is a good strategy for pulling in fans that were never into the Pokemon franchise.

Pokemon Go was thought of well (or maybe it happened by accident) due to the fact that millions of people are drawn into it.. Even I wasn't that into playing Pokemon, I mean I had my dips every now and then with it but the previous Pokemon games were just too much for me. I'm kind of allergic to card-based games with all the stats you need to memorize and tons of characters to manage.

Anyway, it came to a point that I got hooked to playing Pokemon Go, one feature that I would like to write about today is about the Shop. It's there selling you stuff in exchange for PokeCoins that you earn by occupying gyms, or just buy it via carrier charging. It sells various items like PokeBalls, Incense, Lure Module, Lucky Eggs, Incubators, Storage Upgrades and PokeCoins. This is where I started to think of stuff to add to the shop to keep things exciting and fair - I'll explain why later in the next paragraph. I bumped into Otakukart.com's wishlist and I agree with two of them.

Allow Selling of Items

Technically a feature, not an item. The storage (or specifically the item bag) in Pokemon Go is limited. If remembered correctly, it will only store 350 counts of various items. If your bag is full, you need to dispose of any unusable item (for the moment) to make room. There is a trashcan icon on the right side of each item for those who do not know yet and it seems unfair that you need to dispose of some items just to make room. Tech Crunch says the game has hit the $500 million mark, so why aren't we allowed to trade our hard-earned finds in Pokemon Go? Imagine you can trade your extra 20 Revive for something like an Incense, which would be awesome.

Better Pokeballs

As of this writing, only red Pokeballs are available at the shop in Pokemon Go. This isn't a problem for players below level 20. Higher levels in the game would mean more difficult spawns will come your way and believe me, you'll end up spending lots of red Pokeballs to capture that 700 CP Pokemon as it often gets out. Berries help a bit, and I'm not sure if medal capture rewards help a lot either. So with that said, I think better Pokeballs for sale will help out higher level players.

Candies and Stardust

Everytime I transport a Pokemon to the Professor, I get one Candy with that particular Pokemon. I have an idea; why not sell it at the shop? People would love to buy those Candy and Stardust to help them evolve that rare Pokemon. If it's too much trouble to code the 150 plus Candy, then categories can help. Example, a Flying Candy can evolve any Pokemon of that type.

So, that's my wish list for Pokemon Go's shop feature. Come to think of it, it might help grow their already huge revenue. Here's a video on how to use the Shop in Pokemon Go and some progression tips:
