The Latest on Pokeman Go: New Features Improve Capture Rate

The hit location-based augmented reality game based on the 90s cartoon show, Pokemon Go, has gotten even better with new features. The additional features are certain to boost your skills in catching those virtual creatures known as Pokemons.

One of the new features is a catch bonus. These catch bonuses allow you to capture rare Pokemons more easily than before. Trainers earn these catch bonuses for a certain type of Pokemon when they catch another specific Pokemon type.

When you're in the bronze tier or when you catch 10 creatures of the same type, you earn a +1 catch bonus for that Pokemon type. If you capture 50, which is the silver tier, you get +2 catch bonus. If you are at the gold tier or when you capture 200 Pokemons of the same kind, you will be rewarded with +3 catch bonus.

BGR explained this new catch bonus by citing that if you capture some Fire-type Pokemons and garner the Kindler Medal for your efforts, you will find it rather easy to catch Charizard. Without the catch bonus, capturing Charizard is a tedious task.

The Gym Training has also been updated. Up to six Pokemon can tag along with a trainer as he or she goes to battle at friendly Gyms. Before this update, a trainer can bring only one Pokemon to battle or training.

Another new feature of the game is the Egg and Incubator Screens which updates the distance traveled or walked without needing to close or reopen the screen.

The makers of the game have also fixed many of the issues regarding its audio. Also, the evolution animation time has been decreased.

The popularity of the free-to-play game developed by Niantic is poised to continue. These new features will help further the interest on catching Pokemon while walking around and holding a smartphone.
