Windows Phone 8 SDK Arriving at Visual Studio 2012 Launch Event?

A fair amount of discussionis still happening on the Internet, with regard to the arrival of Windows Phone 8 SDK. While it was last heard that the SDK will be released in mid-September, a new report states that the kit could arrive at the Visual Studio 2012 launch Event, which is scheduled for Sept. 12.

The Visual Studio team has been posting the developments of the Windows Phone 8 and noted that the Visual Studio Virtual Launch Event will feature details on C++ development in Windows Phone 8.

Now, given that the virtual event is set to be held on Sept. 12, it seems as if it's a rather convenient date to release the Windows Phone 8 SDK as well. Additionally, the SDK needs to be developed for the innovative features of the new OS.

Moreover, with Windows Phone 8 handsets expected to hit the market within a few weeks, it is likely that there will be little initial software development that will allow users to take advantage of the cool new features in Windows Phone 8. As previously reported, some trusted developers already had access to the SDK and, therefore, in the upcoming weeks, consumers can expect to see a few big names that are working with the new OS revealed.
