Google, since the introduction of the Play Store, has been trying to make the app finding experience more and more user friendly with app discovery. The company, after it introduced a "Recommended for You" section in the web-based Play Store only last month, has now introduced the same in the Play Store app.
The apps will now be recommended to users on the basis of the kind of apps the users' friends (in Google+) enjoy and have. Additionally, the geographical area of the user will also play a key role in determining the recommendation.
Moreover, below every recommendation, the Store will provide the user with a brief explanation of why it thinks the app may relate to his or her interests.
Per an Android Police report, the newly added feature also makes sure that when Google makes a wrong recommendation on the type of apps for a certain user, which doesn't strike a chord to him or her, the user can tap an "uninterested" icon to let the company know. This feature will enable Google to make more on-target app recommendations in the future.
