Nokia is expected to launch a new range of Lumia handsets on Sept. 5. Even before the Finnish company could announce the details of the event, a host of rumors and leaked images of the the purported Lumia devices have already hit the Internet.
The rumors indicate that Nokia's new Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 handsets will include an HD display, Nokia's PureView camera, and the revolutionary wireless charging technology.
According to The Verge, Nokia's latest Lumia 920 will sport a PureView camera, 4.5-inch HD display, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and native support for wireless charging. The report, however, claims that the Lumia smartphone, instead of using the 41 megapixels camera like the 808 smartphone, will feature an 8-megapixel one.
Moreover, the Web site has seemingly confirmed that the Lumia 920 handset will be equipped with an NFC chip, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, a microSD slot, and 4G LTE connectivity.
Another rumored Nokia smartphone, Lumia 820, on the other hand, is said to be the company's new mid-range WP8 device with a 4.3 inch display. A 1.5 GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM may power the smartphone, which will likely have 8GB of on-board storage and a microSD card slot. It will also feature a camera similar to the Lumia 920.
The report also suggests that the Lumia 820 will have changeable rear covers, similar to the current Lumia 710 device.
Nokia and Microsoft are expected to make a Windows Phone 8 announcement for AT&T customers at a press event on Wednesday, Sept. 5.
