Overwatch News: New Map Settings Is Now A Possibility

The Halloween event for Overwatch has just begun and it brought about a lot of interesting new features and modes including the first PvE brawl of the game: Junkenstein's Revenge. The added mode was well received by fans that have left them asking for more. The threads on the game's official forum are filled with hopefuls looking for the permanent addition of the PvE brawl in the game.

Will we be seeing more of Overwatch Junkenstein's Revenge in the future? Well, probably. But it's still unconfirmed whether the developers WILL definitely reply at least on one of those threads. But don't be sad as there's another reason to be jolly!

New Overwatch Map Settings

A dedicated Overwatch player has created a thread where he requested for an added day time settings on maps including the PvE brawl. In his thread, he said: "Hollywood Night is fantastic. Extremely refreshing. Please keep it in the rotation (perhaps alongside Hollywood Day), removing the Halloween-themed stuff. It'd be awesome if you could add daytime variations to other maps, aswell - it probably isn't as demanding as making brand-new maps, either!"

It is true that the request isn't as taxing as making new maps in the future and in actuality, it's a brilliant idea to add a day time settings on each map as it somehow present a different "feel" to it. It may somehow even affect the gameplay of a player depending on how lively his or her environment is. The thread has now gathered almost a thousand of comments which then caught the attention of the Overwatch Game Director, itself.

Interestingly, he replied with a simple yet invigorating answer: "Glad you guys enjoy the Hollywood Halloween map. It's cool to hear that you'd be interested in other maps getting a different time of day treatment. We'll keep that in mind."

A day time setting may not be relevant in the pro-scene but it's not useless nonetheless. And it's probably safe to say basically everyone is just hype for any added contents in the game. Overwatch is becoming more and more of an engaging community albeit some players are just toxic to play with.
