HTC announced the company's first Windows Phone 8 devices - the HTC 8X and the HTC 8S - at the New York City event on Sept. 19. HTC and Microsoft tout the latest devices as the "first signature Windows phones."
The 8X comes with a 4.3-inch 720p HD display, a more powerful 1.5GHz S4 dual-core processor, an 8-megapixel rear-facing snapper with 1080p video recording capability,a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera with a special wide angle lens, 16GB of flash for on-board storage, as well as 1GB of RAM. The latest HTC Windows Phone 8X is 10.12mm thick and weighs 130gms.
HTC has also unveiled a smaller Windows Phone device i.e., the 8S. The 8S smartphone comes with a 4-inch WVGA display, runs a dual-core Snapdragon S4processor and has 512MB of RAM. The smartphone sports a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and has 4GB of storage that is expandable via a microSD card. The 8S is 10.28mm thick and weighs 113gms.
Both HTC WP8 smartphones features Beats Audio technology and Gorilla Glass display protection.
The new HTC Windows Phone 8X would be coming in 50 countries in early November across 126 mobile operators. The HTC 8S, on the other hand, would be available in 52 countries with more than 146 operators.
