Nowadays, everyone is talking about Pokemon, and as someone who grew up with the franchise's anime and games, it's pretty fun to see the little pocket monsters again, with the Pokemon fever taking over the world again, thanks to the Pokemon GO app. Now, a Pokemon fan has taken the franchise to the next level, driving around in a Pokemon-themed BMW i8.
It's mean, it's green, and it's undoubtedly Pokemon. We're no car experts, but Google tells us that the BMW i8 sells for around 100,000 euros and has silly up-folding doors like the Delorean in "Back to the Future," according to Digital Spy.
One fan in Florida strove to "catch them all" (attention-wise, anyway) and created a unique supercar named "Pokemon Hunter." This BMW i8 wrapped in a Pokemon GO-theme is used to catch Pokemon GO creatures all over South Beach. It also is arguably the coolest car for Pikachu and his electrified tail, which could be used to recharge the BMW's batteries.
The car belongs to Veluxity Services, a rental car company in Miami that specializes in luxury and 'exotic' car hire also offers yachts rental. The car was driven all over South Beach, resulting in some pretty funny reactions from the people in Miami.
People who spotted the car got their phones out and turned around to stare, which was probably the very reaction that Veluxity was going for. In the video, perhaps the best part is the person who turns around to take a lonesome selfie, knowing that there's a person behind the wheel watching the whole thing go down.
Now, all that we need is a Pokemon-themed boat with a Dragonite theme. That's definitely going to be something for the eyes.
