EA DICE's previously released single-player first, action-adventure title "Mirror's Edge" is set to arrive on the PlayStation Network on Sept. 25.
The game first arrived on PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2008, and later for PC in2009. The game garnered a lot of appreciation for its brightly colored style. It also differs from most other first-person perspective video games by allowing a wider range of actions-such as sliding under barriers, tumbling, wall-running, and shimmying across ledges-and greater freedom of movement.
The game's individuality and its unrestrained environments have received praise, while criticism has been heaped on it for its weakness of plot, trial and error gameplay, and short length. However, instead of computer-rendered or live-action cutscenes, "Mirror's Edge" used animated sequences to move its story along, and reviewers have often been divided in their opinions because of the stylistic choice.
"Mirror's Edge" is set in a futuristic dystopian society, in which a network of 'runners', including the main character (Faith), are used as couriers to send out messages while escaping government supervision.
The title's price point and availability outside of North America is currently unknown, according to a IGN report.
