Android Gets Opera Mini 7.5 Update – Adds Smart Page

Opera Mini users on Android are set for a treat. Per reports, Opera Mini for Android has been upgraded to version 7.5 with some promising new features on offer.

The novel lightweight upgrade has added a new "Smart Page'" feature that aggregates social media updates and news from a user's most frequently visited Web sites. The Smart Page feature works by creating feeds for the favorite web destinations and suggesting other sources based on the surfing habits.

The Smart Page on Opera Mini keeps track of all the updates that are important, making the web search as short as possible. The feature aims to keep users up to date with friends, along with news, weather, sports, and entertainment updates just by merely opening the Smart Page.

Opera has successfully introduced new features like Opera Mini proxies, the user's internet connection through Opera's servers, which makes page downloads considerably smaller and faster. Additionally, the company uses the list of visited sites to compile news feeds for the most visited sites.

Moreover, there are other additional perks like faster browsing with less of the data load, a dashboard view of what's happening in Social networks, and automatic news feed from favorite sites, to name a few.
