Mass Effect 3 – Omega DLC Text Files Leaked on Disc?

Bioware is scheduled to release a brand new Omega DLC for the popular "Mass Effect 3," along with something new for the IP. However, new reports have emerged stating that the DLC's text files and plot summary have already been discovered in the original game itself.

Per reports, the new mission takes place aboard Omega Station, the foremost den of scum and villainy in "Mass Effect 2." The Illusive Man and Cerberus have now overthrown Overlord Aria T'Loak and he needs Shepard's help to retake the facility.

As the game progresses, players will meet (and possibly kill) Zaeed Massani from "Mass Effect 2," who has signed up with Cerberus.

According to the plot summary Omega is now under a blockade from Cerberus. Additionally, since the attack did not work, by blocking supply ships, Cerberus now attempts to starve Omega in a bid to get him to submit. The game summary also indicates that the level's appearance will change to reflect the scenario. The Afterlife becomes quiet with music and flashing lights switching off. Aria requests gamers to "steal into the blockade and board the command ship" so that they can take down the blockade and Omega can be resupplied.

"As punishment for breaking the neutrality pact, Cerberus launches an attack against Omega. The enemy is attempting to destroy Omega's shields, which will allow asteroids and meteors to smash into the station. You must repel the assault and ensure the shield remain operational," states the plot summary.

The new information has arrived after it was reported that Bioware is planning to work on a brand new "Mass Effect" title, along with a new Omega DLC for "Mass Effect 3."

Bioware's Aaryn Flynn, in a blog post related to the resignation of BioWare's co-founders (Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk), stated that the team is planning for new multiplayer content, with single-player stories also set for arrival.

Additionally, Bioware has announced that the company is set to release the "Mass Effect Trilogy" for PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. Per reports, all the three award-winning games from the series will be available together in one premium package and will arrive with exclusive artwork. "Mass Effect Trilogy" will also mark the highly-anticipated debut of the original "Mass Effect" on the PlayStation 3 console.
