The first impressions for "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" display the usual, as well as a few familiar faces that were on the rims of the first movie. There's Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax (Dave Bautista), Rocket (Bradley Cooper) and Baby Groot (Vin Diesel).
Then there's Nebula (Karen Gillan), who had a wicked turn in the last film, along with Yondu (Michael Rooker), who's finally sporting a full-on mohawk cut hair that went missing from the first film. It is obvious that the first movie's ironic sense of humor is front and center.
Drax recommends Quill that he needs to find a woman "as pathetic" as he is, instead of pining after Gamora. And the Guardians have space suits stored away for both exigencies and "fun."Also, in return: the films again have its own peculiar soundtrack.
The teaser is set to of Suede's "Hooked on a Feeling," which was one of many record 1970s hits on Peter Quill's mix-tape, acquired from his dying mother before being abducted by that passing spacecraft.
The first film "Guardians of the Galaxy" was the astonishing hit of 2014. The movie achieved scads of money and making it a "box office hit", despite being inspired by a C-list comic book author, and featured few evident stars.
Pratt wasn't yet a domestic name, and the movie's two biggest drafts, Cooper and Diesel, were just voices of CGI conceptions. But the movie's achievement proved Marvel could dig a gold out of nothing but a humorous act and its own growing fame back-to-back worldwide as a hit-maker.
That should lift and kick start all fans to be "I can't wait any longer" feeling and significantly for the sequel and its director, James Gunn. The movie is set to be released May 5th, 2017.
