Tomb Raider – Pre-order Bonus Content Revealed for U.S.

U.S.-based retailers have revealed the bonus pre-order content for Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix's upcoming action-adventure title "Tomb Raider."

Users who pre-order the game will have access to a host of special content related to the game. The pre-order content, however, will vary from retailer to retailer and is only applicable for players in the U.S.

Here's a complete list of pre-order bonus content categorized on the basis of retailers:

Amazon
Amazon is giving out The Final Hours Edition of "Tomb Raider." The edition from Amazon will contain an exclusive 32-page art book created by art director Brian Horton, showcasing the art from the game. The exclusive "Hunter Skin" that will grant Lara a layer of action-movie-style natural camouflage is also included.

Moreover, a 'Director's Cut' Kindle Fire Edition, that will take the players behind the scenes and help experience the highs and lows of the game, is also available as video game journalist Geoff Keighley documents the inner workings of how Crystal Dynamics went back to the drawing board to revamp one of the most legendary and popular video games of all time.

GameStop
GameStop will offer an exclusive in-game Challenge Tomb where players (as Lara) will encounter brand new environment puzzles to test their brains and strengths.

Best Buy
The Best Buy edition of the game will offer an exclusive "Tomb Raider: The Beginnings" Comic Book and AVIATRIX SKIN. The Beginnings, which is a 48-page six-part graphic novel telling the story of how the ill-fated voyage of the Endurance came to be, has been written by Rhianna Pratchett, and the game's art director Brian Horton has designed the cover art.

The AVIATRIX SKIN, on the other hand, is an exclusive 1930s adventurer outfit for Lara Croft, complete with bomber jacket.

"Tomb Raider" is the fifth title developed by Crystal Dynamics in the Tomb Raider franchise. As the first entry in a new Tomb Raider continuity, the game will provide no correlation to the entirety of the previous entries in the series.

The game is currently scheduled for release on March 5, 2013 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Microsoft Windows.
